I stumbled on Fun Bun while I was exploring Yalikavak. Although it was quite literally empty on a Tuesday night, I was amazed by the decor, setting and friendly welcome. They really made me feel comfortable and explained their most popular items on the menu. The whole area felt very romantic so if you’re looking for a table for 2 then this is the spot. I had their special pizza which had a very rich slow cooked shredded beef. Not sure how traditional the pizza was but it ultimately tasted phenomenal. I was surrounded by cats and weirdly, they added to my dining experience. I couldn’t resist sharing a few bits of shredded beef on the floor. They seemingly enjoyed it as much as I did. My only fault is the crust was very dense and I’m usually a fan of pizza crust but that was just too heavy for me to finish. I also got overcharged by 100 lira but I gave them the benefit of the doubt for making me feel welcome and wanted as their only guest at that time. Highly recommended, I wish I could explore more on their menu but the way he described their special pizza really drew me in.
This has been our favourite meal in Turkey so far and we'll definitely be back before the end of our holiday as we want to try the other delicious things on the menu. The food was so tasty, the chips and onion ring sides seasoned beautifully. I had the chicken bao bun and my partner had the slow cooked beef bao bun. Then we shared their homemade mandarin flavoured cheesecake which was divine! Not only was the food superb but the vibe and the owner made us feel so relaxed and welcome, explaining the menu to us on his iPad as we didn't have wifi to access via the QR code. Such a lovely little spot, friendly service and tasty food - what more can you want. Can't wait to come back.

The atmosphere, the flavors, all of it came together. Their Sujuk pizza was a standout. It’s a kind of spicy, dry sausage that adds such a nice kick—but not overwhelming—paired with the melting cheese and perfect crust. If you go, you absolutely have to try that one. If I were to sum it up: it’s casual comfort food done brilliantly—nothing fancy, just insanely tasty. Fun Bun is worth a visit.
We came here by recommendation that they served the best manti. We were pleased to meet the owners who are a very sweet couple with great taste in food and the manti didn’t disappoint! Chips are perfectly cooked and seasoned and we’ll definitely come back to try other dishes
